Dec. 13, 2004

It's the Holiday season in California and although it's been cool lately, some warmer weather has returned. I spent this past Saturday on the beach in Malibu. It was beautiful and the beach was practically deserted. Speaking of the beach and the holidays, on Thanksgiving morning I was jogging on the beach. Only in Southern California......OK and Florida...and Hawaii.

I did some filming a few weeks ago...pick up scenes for a project on which I had previously worked. I also did another radio interview for a radio station in Arkansas.

Things at the day job are going very well and I'm getting used to the "9-5" schedule. I'm spending most of my time at our Regional Headquarters but, I'll probably be on the road three days a week visiting our facilities throughout SoCal starting in February.

There have been a bunch of Christmas parties to attend, with more coming up in the next week or so including the big HCR party on Wednesday.

Nov. 14, 2004

October was a busy month for me and now it's time to relax. I left IBM after over 5 years and started a new "day" job on Sept. 27th. I'm working with a great bunch of people so, that's good news. Also, I was super busy in October as the election approached. I did an hour on KFI Radio here in LA on Oct. 17th. Congrats go out to the President.

Also in October, the annual "Haunted Jail" at my Sheriff's station. That took a lot of time on the weekends and some evenings. It was fun though and this year was very successful.

I'll be appearing on the Dom Giordano Show in Philadelphia (1210 AM, The Big Talker) this Tuesday, Nov. 16th, in the 8:00 PM hour (EST)

Sept. 10, 2004

Summer's almost over, although here in Southern California, we've got another 2  months or so. We've lately had days around 100 degrees in the Valley but, NO HUMIDITY. I hit Zuma beach in Malibu earlier in the week.

I was back East for a good portion of August. I got to see the family but, didn't really have a chance to visit with others as I was on Cape Cod for much of the time.

I appeared again on Fox News Live on Aug 26th, this time with host Jane Skinner. I had a great time and hopefully was able to convey my points with clarity. I also did another radio interview with KNX Radio in Los Angeles.

Things will be changing in one of my job departments at the end of the month. I'll be leaving IBM and going to work for a large Southern California based company. I'll still be in the computer applications training field though.

August 9, 2004

Just got back from San Diego and the CRP Convention. Had a great time and met with a lot of people. A very productive weekend. Yesterday I was on Fox News Live (The Fox News Channel) with host Bob Sellers. I was discussing Politics in Hollywood. Since this is a political season, I've also been doing a lot of radio interviews on the same subject, among those appearances were WPHT Philadelphia, KTKZ Sacramento and KFYI Phoenix. I'll be doing a lot more between now and the election.

May 4, 2004- A couple of weeks ago, I was asked back for a second table read (script in progress) for a sitcom which will be presented to the networks later this year. The principles on this project are not just kids. One is a former producer of Murphy Brown and one of the writers is a VP at one of the big national radio syndication networks. They have some clout in this town....stay tuned. This past weekend I met Paul McCartney.... Beatles, Wings...Yes, that Paul McCartney.

April 21, 2004- Ok, so it's been a while since I've written here.....not much has happened since the last update. This past weekend was my car clubs big Spring car show:

As usual, it was great fun, although I had to get up at 5:00 AM to get to the park for setup. The Spring show is a 2 day event and we had cars from all over. I talked with some guys who came in from the Chicago area. They said that they drove out to Las Vegas a few weeks ago for a car show there, they then stored their cars in Vegas and flew back to Chicago. Last week, they flew back to Vegas, picked up their cars and drove up to our show.. After that they were going to drive back to Chicago land. Saturday was raining off and on but Sunday was beautiful. I also picked up a couple of parts for the Barracuda. By the way, the 'Cuda wasn't at the show as I'm in the process of doing a brake upgrade project. The upgrade modifications I'm doing will make the 'Cuda stop like a modern street racer instead of an early '70's boat.

1/6/2004- Happy New Year! Hard to believe that another year has come and gone. I stayed here in SoCal for the Holidays. On New Years Day, I got up at 2 AM and went to Pasadena to work at the Rose Parade for the Sheriff's Dept. It was fun but a lot of work. At least I had a street view of the parade as I was right on Colorado Blvd.. That was nice. Today I went to the LA Auto Show and saw all the new Iron. That was fun. At the end of this week I'll be doing a bunch of traveling for IBM/Hallmark.

2003:

11/15/ 2003- I've been traveling a lot lately and am still pretty much in the middle of it therefore I can only do a brief update at this time. Watch for me again this weekend on MSNBC's "America's Voices". It's on Saturday at 6PM EST, 3PM in the West. It's also repeated on Sunday morning at Noon in the East, 9AM in the West. We taped this week's show this past Thursday night. As soon as I left the studio at 8 PM, I had to rush over to the Burbank Airport and catch the last flight to Oakland, CA. I'll also be on another episode, but I'm not sure if it's on next weekend or the weekend after Thanksgiving.

The fires here in SoCal pretty much ended when the rain and cool weather came in (cool for California). It didn't get too close to where I live although the Valley filled up with smoke and dulled the sun for a few days.

Aaaanold will be Inaugurated as Governator here in California this Monday. We are looking forward to that.

California Election night-  I was a panelist on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews on election night. I will also again be on MSNBC's "America's Voices". It will either air this weekend or around Thanksgiving.

10/7/2003- Check out pictures from this years Fall Fling car show which occurred this past weekend. It was sponsored by the Car club I belong to, the Chrysler Performance West Car Club.

9/29/2003- Busy couple of months. I finished up the big Honeywell/IBM project, thus ending a horrible commute every morning to Torrance. I then began a busy out-of-town travel schedule including the following cities: Marshall, MO; Anaheim, CA; Chula Vista, CA (near San Diego); Northridge, CA; Boston; Westboro, MA; Great Barrington, MA (Berkshire Mountains); Claremont, NH; Ventura, CA; and Visalia, CA. The weekend of Sept. 20th, I was on MSNBC's show "America's Voices" as part of a political focus group. I was asked back for the first weekend in October but unfortunately, I was already booked. I'm sure I'll be on again in the future. I also had the chance to attend a taping of Sean Hannity's Radio and TV program on Sept.25th. I had the opportunity to meet Sean, as well as KABC radio's Joe Crummy, Chuck Norris and his wife Gena, Morgan Britney (Dallas) and Barret Swatek (7th Heavan). They were all very nice. We may soon have a new Governator (Ahhnold) here in California. He should be a huge improvement over the loser we now have as governor.

8/9/2003-  Arnold is running for Governor of California and he'll probably win.... yes, that's a very good thing!  I've been very busy this last month as the big IBM / Honeywell project finally began.  I've been commuting to Torrance every day and it's a terrible time traffic-wise.  This project will be completed soon then I have some short term traveling assignments for the other project I'm working on.

7/4/2003- Happy Independence Day! Today will be a beach day in Malibu. I'm a little behind in updating my web site. Things have picked up a lot with IBM. I've been doing some traveling on the Hallmark project. Also, the big Honeywell / IBM partnership project that has been postponed every month since January is finally scheduled to start in a few weeks. I've already been to the facility for the primary preparation for the big rollout. We'll see if it actually starts on the new start date. I haven't been back East yet for my Summer visit. I'll have to wait to see when my projects conclude before I can plan the trip. We're still working on "Mineo" and "C-Note" and we'll be speaking with the New Jersey Film Bureau in a few weeks to discuss possible locations for filming and incentives for doing so there.

3/6/2003- February was a slow month on a couple of fronts. Auditions were few, as productions in Hollywood are down. IBM events were way down as well. A big National IBM project that I'm spearheading has been postponed again. Originally slated to begin on January 6th, it has been postponed 3 times, now scheduled to begin on April 1st. I had a few Radio appearances though.......I did the Conway & Steckler Show on 97.1 FM, The Ken & Company Morning Show on KABC and The Larry Elder Show which is syndicated nationally and on KABC here in Los Angeles. There will be more of these to come. February here in LA was a little rainy but, a lot easier to take than the Arctic winter they're having back East.

2/1/2003- Happy New Year! I know that you're only supposed to say that until the end of January but I started to write this update on Jan.1st. Finally, after being in Southern California for 5 years, I made it to the New Years Day Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA. I was front row since I was working at it for the Sheriff's Dept. It was fantastic to see it in person, after seeing it for years on television from cold New England. And speaking of the weather, here in Southern California it has been beautiful and warmer than normal. I went to the Zuma Beach in Malibu yesterday and it was like summer. For those of you in the cold climates, I'm sorry you had to hear that....well, not really. On the acting front, things have been a little slow since the first of the year. I did have a couple of IBM events here in California in the last couple of weeks. One in San Luis Obispo (central California coast) and the other in Corona. Not too much else going on.

1/18/2003- Things are finally quieting down workwise with IBM. It has been very busy over the last couple of months and there was a lot of traveling, although it was mainly in the Southern California area.  On the acting scene: we did some more pick up shots for Vengeance Trail in October and although I may still have to do some in-studio voiceovers, the filming is pretty much completed. In late summer, I worked on a training film for the LA County Sheriff's Dept. which is out now. Most Department personnel will be seeing this, as many have already. So far the reviews are good and......since I played a Sergeant in the film, I now outrank all my buddies....if they buy that. This October, as we at the C.V. Sheriff's station do every October, we produced "The Haunted Jail" for the kids (and adults) in the community. The turn out this year was excellent. October 12th was the big event........ I attended old pal Ed G. and Phyllis's wedding in Doylestown, PA. It was a great time and we all had a blast. I saw some old friends that I hadn't seen in years and met some new one's whom I had heard about and finally got to meet. October 19th was the big Fall Fling Mopar show at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA. It was sponsored by the Chrysler Performance West Club of which I am a member. I had the 'Cuda on display there and it felt right at home with all it's brother and sister cars (approx 350).
